Ill Timing (Part 1, Conclusion)

So that day I was with Penny, my sister’s best friend, because we had a class together that semester–some kind of business law class or something, and we were partnered up for a presentation.

We had actually been, to my surprise, chatty all semester so I went with it and asked her if she wanted us to check her out for the weekend (you had to be checked out of the dorms if you were a boarding student leaving campus overnight) and we could work on our project or whatever. She obliged so I picked her up in the Beamer and she had this little backpack with her things, her strawberry shampoo…

“Hey, Reuben!” Brown eyes, bright smile.

“Hey. Ready to go?”

“Get me the fuck out of here!” She giggled.

“Alright. Let’s do it.” So we sped off down Darlington Drive.
